Music has always played
a major part in Elizabeths life. Her parents, as well as her
elementary school music teacher in New Jersey had a huge impact
on the musical path she has chosen. She has been singing with her
five sisters, the Kolarovic Sisters, in their own version of the
Von Trapps ever since she can remember.
Singing in harmony puts an incredible amount of light into
my heart and into my life, says Elizabeth. There is
nothing more beautiful, peaceful, or calming then being a part of
creating an amazing sound. The Kolarovic Sisters were invited
to be on Al Alberts Showcase, and have sung in public together
on countless occasions. They have also been hired for weddings,
parties, and by Macys for Christmas Concerts. In 1998 they
recorded their first album, The Kolarovic Sisters Christmas Album.
During high school, Elizabeth played first seat trumpet in the band.
It was here that she learned how much music can be the vehicle for
enhanced developmental skills such as math and social skills.
After high school Elizabeth started taking voice lessons. She also
auditioned and won a spot in the Philadelphia Festival Chorus as
well as the local community chorus, where she sang classical in
many concerts around the Philadelphia area. She then enrolled in
Rutgers Universitys music program as a music major. After
completing her schooling, she moved to Connecticut.
Missing harmonizing with her sisters in New Jersey and looking for
musical fulfillment, Elizabeth found a way to keep music in her
life by becoming a licensed Kindermusik educator. If I could
reach children in the same way my elementary music school teacher
reached me, then I could make a major difference in their lives,
says Elizabeth. I want to make a positive impact on children
to assist them in getting the best possible start in life.
Music really reaches children, and they relate to it so well,
says Elizabeth. I hope to pass on all the learning benefits
music has to the children.
Today, Elizabeth lives in Salem Connecticut, with her husband James,
their daughter Madison, their son Ethan, as well as their four cats.
